Objectives

This project was implemented with the aim of increasing young people’s awareness of mental health and its importance in daily life. During the project, participants gained knowledge on ways to enhance emotional well-being, manage stress and anxiety, and promote psychological stability. Given that mental health issues, including depression and anxiety, are becoming increasingly common among young people, the project’s activities had a significant impact on participants’ understanding of these topics, supporting better daily functioning, academic performance, and social interaction. The project was based on the principles of the UN’s 3rd Sustainable Development Goal, “Good Health and Well-Being,” and the European Youth Goal 5, “Mental Health and Well-Being,” emphasizing the need to reduce the stigma around mental health issues and promote emotional well-being. Considering statistics showing that suicide is one of the leading causes of death among young people, the relevance and importance of the project became clear. The project specifically highlighted the role of nature and physical activity in promoting emotional health. Participants engaged in activities conducted in natural settings, which helped reduce stress, improve well-being, and foster mindfulness practices. Young people were introduced to various stress management techniques, the importance of self-reflection, and the use of nature as a tool for maintaining emotional balance. Project objectives achieved: - Increased awareness of emotional balance in daily life; - Introduction to different stress management techniques; - Promotion of understanding and practice of self-reflection; - Learning to use nature as an effective tool for enhancing emotional well-being; - Exchange of experiences in mindfulness practices; - Promotion of Erasmus+ program visibility and participation. - During the project, young people acquired practical knowledge and skills that helped them better manage their emotions, recognize stress, and foster a balanced and active lifestyle. Through workshops, interactive activities, and group work, participants developed critical thinking, social skills, emotional intelligence, and self-reflection. Throughout the project, organizations and partners employed an inclusive approach and non-formal education methods to ensure active youth participation and learning. Interactive and engaging teaching methods were used, including discussions, role-plays, experiential learning, and feedback sessions. The project was accessible to young people from diverse social backgrounds, promoting cooperation and inclusion, while also enhancing participants’ communication skills, teamwork, and self-confidence.
