Physical and mental health, well-beingTackling geographical remoteness and involving rural areas

Objectives

Project goal is to explore the factors influencing young people’s mental and physical health. Observations by the partner organizations, the Latvian association “Odikozāras” and the Georgian association “IDEA”, indicate that not only urban but also an increasing number of rural youth aged 15-18 suffer from various factors affecting their mental and physical health. The causes of these issues can be found in the young person’s surrounding environment—physical, social, psychological, and digital. The project’s activities are designed to promote the mental and physical well-being of young people by identifying influencing factors and their characteristics, bringing together youth from two different countries in a joint event. Georgia’s diverse natural landscapes provide an ideal environment for young people to engage in activities that improve both their mental and physical health and overall well-being. Additionally, Georgia’s culture, known for its strong sense of community and hospitality, will foster deeper social connections and cultural exchange among project participants. The implementation of this project will encourage youth initiatives in the field of project development. The young people themselves are the authors of the project’s idea and objectives. The planned activities will enhance the acquisition of essential life competencies, provide meaningful leisure opportunities, and promote youth engagement and participation. The project’s implementation will also support non-formal learning, improving young people’s quality of life and fostering their future initiatives.
