Objectives

The main objective of “From Idea to Impact” was to equip youth workers and project managers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to plan, apply for, and successfully manage Erasmus+ projects. Many youth workers had strong ideas and motivation but often struggled to transform these ideas into well-structured, fundable, and impactful project proposals. This training bridged that gap by providing hands-on experience and practical skills in project design, budgeting, partnership management, outreach, implementation, and impact assessment. Specific objectives of the project: To provide 24 young animators and project managers from 7 European countries with the essential skills needed to apply for and manage Erasmus+ projects effectively from start to finish. To deliver practical training on budgeting, financial management, reporting, dissemination, and project documentation to ensure full compliance with Erasmus+ guidelines. To create a mentoring and peer-support network, where experienced professionals supported participants in developing real project concepts during the training. To strengthen inter-organisational collaboration between youth organisations from different countries, encouraging long-term partnerships and sustainable cooperation in the Erasmus+ field. By achieving these objectives, the project increased the quality and success rate of Erasmus+ applications submitted by the participating organisations. This ensured that high-impact youth initiatives received funding and reached the young people who needed them most. Relevance to youth work and inclusion Youth workers played a crucial role in making learning mobility and project opportunities accessible to all young people, including those facing social, economic, or geographic obstacles. By improving their project management competencies, they became better equipped to design inclusive, well-structured, and meaningful initiatives that actively involved young people from diverse backgrounds. The “From Idea to Impact” project aligned strongly with the Erasmus+ priority of inclusion and diversity, empowering youth workers with the skills needed to engage underrepresented groups in international youth activities. Through improved project-design capacities, participants were able to develop initiatives supporting young people facing fewer opportunities—such as those from rural areas, economically disadvantaged backgrounds, or minority communities.
