Objectives

"BLUE TRACK" is an 8-day outdoor training adventure for youth workers. Our goal is to use nature as a tool while simultaneously learning how to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. Through this project, we aim to strengthen outdoor organizations, learn and share new skills and competencies in outdoor training. We want to support youth workers and those involved in youth work in their daily challenges, providing them with methods to navigate unconventional situations, align with their values, and better support young people, rather than reacting blindly to situations. We believe that nature, reflection, an empowered individual, and a strong group are the cornerstones of a successful youth work platform, regardless of its overarching goal. Additionally, we aim to enhance our experience in writing and implementing Erasmus+ projects and strengthen the bond between partner organizations. Through experience exchange, we have observed that compared to other EU countries (such as Central Europe), Latvia has preserved valuable natural areas, allowing people to go on hikes in places where human impact on the environment is minimal. In these areas, it is still possible to encounter animal and plant species in their natural habitat, many of which are declining in number. Furthermore, trophy hunting has become increasingly popular in Latvia, with people, for example, traveling from Denmark to hunt animals that are either protected or already extinct in their home country. For this reason, we want to highlight the importance of natural values in Latvia, Europe, and globally, as nature is a vital resource for our organization, which operates in an outdoor environment. We also aim to improve our digital competencies and skills in showcasing our organization’s results and goals in digital formats. This will help us become more visible in today's digital world, attract more young and active individuals to our organization, and engage them in our activities. Nowadays, being active on social media significantly increases the chances of reaching the target audience and effectively conveying our message.
