One of the European Youth Goals is the development of rural youth, the basis for the future development of the youth work in EU. These goals reflect the views of European youth. Rural regions are becoming low populated - young people prefer to live in cities. Youth lack quality services or entertainment at country side, as a result, young people have developed negative stereotypes of the countryside.The task of the project is to create a positive image of rural regions by offering their proposals in cooperation with the members of the Tukums region and the European Parliament. Youth needs to return to the countryside. The goal of the project is to study the issues and opportunities of rural youth,to create a positive image of rural areas among young people aged between 13-19 from the Tukums region and Tukums Rainis State Gymnasium,to promote youth participation in decision-making, in cooperation with the decision-makers of the Tukums region, rural youth of Latvia and the EU parliament.
