The goal of the project was to reduce the spread of misinformation and promote media literacy among young people, especially in the Aizkraukle region. By implementing this project, we aimed for young people aged 13 to 18 to develop critical thinking and the ability to recognize true and misleading information. Project tasks: 1. Analyze young people's experiences with encountering misinformation in everyday life, using their existing knowledge and understanding of media literacy and misinformation. 2. Increase the project group's understanding of misinformation, the risks it poses, how to combat and deal with it, in order to train students from Aizkraukle region high schools and other schools on this topic. 3. Develop the project group's youth participation skills by gaining experience in starting other social and civic initiatives in the future. 4. Develop creative and interactive learning methods that would, in the long term, promote young people's media literacy and understanding of misinformation spread in the media. 5. Involve experts in media literacy and filmmaking to lead the training. 6. Organize events on recognizing and combating misinformation, and use the media to promote the project's activities and results. 7. Develop knowledge about misinformation in the municipality, thereby improving relations between local schools.
