Objectives

In this project, 10 young people with fewer opportunities will be involved, and their participation will help them step outside their closed, limiting comfort zones and explore the previously unknown European environment, which broadens their understanding of European values and opportunities for youth. The young people will be able to appreciate what is offered to them in Latvia, as well as compare it with the opportunities provided by other European countries. Traveling by train from Latvia to European countries, they will pass through several nations, which will enhance their understanding of diverse cultures, environmental differences, and the habits and traditions of local residents. These journeys will help reduce stereotypes among young people and increase their self-confidence, encouraging them to believe in their abilities and ideas. The project aims to support young people with fewer opportunities who have faced various life situations before reaching the age of 18, significantly impacting their individual development, engagement, and motivation. Through this project, young people will be able to explore other cultures, compare environmental issue-solving approaches in different countries, promote social inclusion, and ensure equality. The planned activities in the project will be implemented through non-formal education methods—learning to be, learning to learn, reflection, and discussions. After participating in this project, the young people will engage in local activities, sharing their experiences and encouraging other youth to participate in European Union project activities in collaboration with support persons and youth workers. They will take part in developing new project ideas that will help motivate less active young individuals.
