Objectives

The project “Digital Storytelling for Positive Change” was designed to help young people rethink how they use digital media in their daily lives. Instead of only consuming content, the aim was to guide them towards becoming active creators who can tell stories, share perspectives, and take part in conversations online in a more thoughtful way. A key objective was to develop participants’ digital competences through hands-on learning. This included understanding storytelling elements such as framing, sequencing, perspective, and audience awareness, as well as gaining practical experience using tools like cameras, microphones, editing apps, and AI-based tools for visuals and captions. At the same time, the project aimed to build critical thinking by encouraging participants to question the content they see online and reflect on how media shapes opinions and behaviour. Another important objective was to support active participation and civic awareness. Through the creation of digital stories on topics such as voting, culture, identity, and the Erasmus+ experience, participants explored how their voices can contribute to wider discussions. Intercultural learning was also central, with participants working in international teams, exchanging perspectives, and learning how to collaborate across different communication styles and cultural backgrounds. Overall, the project aimed to help young people become more confident, creative, and aware in the way they engage with digital media and with each other.
