Objectives

The project aimed to empower young people through sport-based non-formal learning, using the Youth Olympics concept as a tool to promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork, inclusion, and intercultural understanding. By bringing together young people from different countries and backgrounds, the project sought to create a safe and motivating environment where participants could learn by doing, cooperate across cultures, and develop key life competences. The main objectives of the project were to: -promote physical activity and well-being as positive and accessible tools for youth development, -strengthen teamwork, communication, leadership, and cooperation skills through mixed-nationality sports activities, -foster intercultural dialogue, mutual respect, and European values through international cooperation, -increase self-confidence, active participation, and social inclusion, especially for young people with fewer opportunities, -support young people in recognising and reflecting on their learning outcomes through Youthpass and structured reflection, -raise awareness of Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and encourage future youth participation at local, national, and European levels. Overall, the project aimed to contribute to more active, inclusive, and engaged young people, while strengthening cooperation between youth organisations and promoting sport as a powerful educational and social tool within the Erasmus+ Youth programme.
