With this project, we aimed to improve the mentorship skills of youth workers. Mentorship plays an important factor for youth to gain access to resources, develop life skills, and explore future options. Youth mentors serve as guides; they share their experiences, provide guidance, and motivate those they mentor. Mentoring has the power to positively impact the mentor themselves as well as the mentees, while having a positive impact on their mental health. Our objectives for this project were to: - Healthily improve the youth workers mentorship skills - Provide skills to make the mentors better equipped in creating boundaries in mentorship relationships - Providing skills to be better equipped in tackling different needs and being able to create safe spaces for youth - Creating a space for sharing about best practices - Be an opportunity for youth mentors to learn about the different needs of youth, especially vulnerable youth
