There are many projects dedicated to supporting, promoting and disseminating European values. However, as we have noticed, these projects mainly involve young adults. Our experience shows that young people themselves, who participated in youth exchanges with the same theme, noted that it would be useful if understanding and awareness of European values became available to them at an earlier age. It was they who suggested taking teenagers as the target group. Undoubtedly, working with minors is associated with a large number of, first of all, bureaucratic issues. For example, it is not so easy to go on a trip without parents. This requires powers of attorney and additional documents. However, we are ready for this and know all the procedures for traveling with such a group. For this project, we formulated the following goals 1. To promote intercultural dialogue between teenagers from the Netherlands, Armenia and Georgia to understand together what it means to be European. 2. To enable teenagers from Armenia and Georgia to experience European values in a real situation and together with thier peers from the Netherlands explore what it means to be Eureopean. 3. To show young people how judo can help to get rid of negative stereotypes and stimulate social inclusion. 4. To transfer the acquired knowledge and skills to a large number of teenagers in the participating countries. This project will demonstrate how sport can serve as a bridge between cultures and contribute to better mutual understanding. Moreover, the milestone of the project is the fact of very close connection between Judo codex and European values. We understood that working with an internaitonal team of teenagers is not an easy task. It was obvious that an additional unifying factor and a universal language in which teenagers can communicate freely are needed. We came to the conclusion that sport, in particular judo, can perfectly fulfill this function. This decision simplified our task a little, since most athletes are usually very disciplined and responsible guys. By the age of 13-15, they already have experience of participating in competitions, as well as traveling to different cities, and sometimes other countries.
