C.H.O.I.R. Empowering Youth Through Choral Exchange was about Cultural Discovery, Leadership, and Inclusion through Choral Music. With our youth exchange C.H.O.I.R. Empowering Youth Through Choral Exchange we aimed to achieve a meaningful experience where young people could connect across cultures, develop their confidence, and explore how music could be a tool for inclusion and self-expression. Through this exchange, we aimed to strengthen intercultural dialogue, helping participants build friendships and networks that went beyond borders. We approached this from youth work practice through non-formal learning, shared routines, and guided reflection moments. We also focused on personal and professional growth, giving young people the space to develop skills like leadership, collaboration, and adaptability. By taking ownership of activities and guiding parts of the program, they learned to take initiative, express their ideas, and support each other in a structured yet creative way. Facilitators held the frame and ensured that youth leadership stayed accessible, safe, and inclusive. At the heart of the project was active citizenship and inclusion. We wanted participants, especially those with fewer opportunities to see themselves as part of a larger European community, where they could engage critically with issues like democracy, equality, and sustainability. By discussing these themes and taking small, tangible actions during the exchange, they gained a sense of responsibility and agency in shaping their own future. Lastly, we aimed to promote environmental awareness by integrating sustainable practices into the exchange, from eco-conscious travel to mindful daily habits. Participants experienced firsthand how small choices could contribute to a more climate-conscious way of living. We used concrete daily habits and group agreements to make this practical. For this project we had set the following objectives: - Promote Intercultural Dialogue & Strengthen Cross-Border Social Cohesion and European Identity - Develop Lifelong Skills for Personal & Professional Growth - Foster Inclusive Active Citizenship and European Values - Promote Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Practices - Enhance Digital & Media Literacy
