Objectives

With this project, we want to give youth workers from the Netherlands and Portugal the opportunity to learn from each other and become stronger in their work with young people. By exchanging experiences and methods, we aim to improve youth work and better support young people in their development. OBJECTIVES: - Learn from each other and grow as youth workers by discovering new ways to guide and engage young people. - Share successful approaches and exchange experiences in both urban and rural areas. - Give young people more influence by actively involving them in projects and encouraging them to take responsibility. - Support young people in developing their talents and leadership skills. - Address societal challenges such as social exclusion, mental health, and climate change by equipping youth workers with the right tools and methods. - Show how sustainability and social involvement can play a bigger role in youth work. - Create new contacts and collaborations across Europe by bringing youth workers together and building a strong international network. - Ensure sustainable impact and lasting results through practical tools and ongoing mentorship. CORE ACTIVITIES: - Study visit to Portugal: Focus on sustainability, rural youth work, and community engagement. - Study visit to the Netherlands: Focus on mentoring, youth participation, and social inclusion. - Development of a toolkit: A collection of best practices, strategies, and working methods that youth workers can use in their daily work. - Mentoring program: Experienced youth workers will guide and support less-experienced colleagues to strengthen the overall quality of youth work. EXPECTED IMPACT: - For youth workers: Improved skills, access to new methods, and stronger international networks. - For young people: More opportunities to participate in decision-making, better guidance, and enhanced personal development. - For organizations: Strengthened partnerships, improved methodologies, and increased capacity to support youth workers and young people. - For the youth sector: The exchange of best practices, inspiration for new initiatives, and a greater focus on sustainability and youth participation. Through this project, we aim to ensure that the knowledge gained will have a long-term impact on youth work and create a positive change in the communities where young people are actively engaged.
