The project "Cool Leaders Academy 2025" aims to significantly enhance environmental awareness, climate change, digital transformation and empower youth workers and trainers across seven countries by equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to address pressing ecological challenges. By implementing the mobility project in Bakuriani, Georgia, we aimed to strengthen the capacity, quality, and impact of youth work in the field of environmental sustainability and climate action. The project sought to empower youth workers with up-to-date knowledge, practical tools, and non-formal education methodologies that enable them to address pressing environmental challenges such as climate change, pollution, waste management, and biodiversity loss in their daily work with young people. A key objective was to support youth workers in becoming confident eco-trainers and change-makers, capable of motivating young people to adopt sustainable lifestyles and actively participate in environmental initiatives at local, national, and European levels. Another important goal was to enhance European and international cooperation between youth organizations from EU and Eastern Partnership countries by fostering mutual understanding, trust, and long-term partnerships. Through shared learning experiences and intercultural exchange, the project aimed to strengthen solidarity, inclusion, and active citizenship among participants. We also aimed to improve participants’ leadership, digital, and communication skills, enabling them to use digital tools and advocacy methods to raise awareness about environmental issues and engage young people more effectively. Additionally, the project sought to increase participants’ understanding of Erasmus+ opportunities, particularly KA1 and KA2 actions, and to encourage future project development and cooperation. Ultimately, the project aimed to create a sustainable multiplier effect by ensuring that the acquired competences, methodologies, and motivation would be transferred to youth organizations and communities, generating long-term impact beyond the mobility itself. The overall objectives of the project were 1. Empower young people to take action on climate change and environmental protection by providing them with practical tools, knowledge, and skills through workshops, training sessions, and discussions. 2. Develop skilled eco-trainers by equipping them with up-to-date environmental knowledge, teaching methodologies, and resources to lead successful educational initiatives on sustainability and climate resilience. 3. To implement the “Cool Leader” education project from Masterpiece, which aims to empower youth workers, trainers and young leaders by providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive impactful environmental and social changes. 4. To strengthen partnership cooperation between European Union and Eastern Partnership countries, and to empower non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Eastern Europe. 5. To raise awareness among youth workers about the significance of World Cleanup Day and Digital Cleanup Day, equipping them to lead and promote these initiatives for greater community impact and environmental responsibility. 6. To strengthen and activate the international network of "Masterpeace" on environmental issues, addressing the increasing frequency of ecological disasters and crises in partner countries, which is crucial for everyone. 7. To enhance the digital skills and competencies of our participants through a variety of interactive workshops, hands-on tasks, data analysis activities, engaging presentations, active participation, and practical application. 8. To enable youth workers to develop holistically by supporting their personal, social, and educational growth, helping them to find their voice, increase their influence, and enhance their role in society, ultimately allowing them to reach their full potential. 9. To support the EU Green Deal, the Paris Agreement, and UN SDGs 12, 13, 14, and 15 by focusing on the long-term growth of youth workers to encourage sustainable practices and environmental responsibility. 10. To enhance the active participation of multiple organizations in addressing environmental issues, aiming to increase their involvement in creating a more sustainable and eco-friendly future for their societies. The project also emphasized practical action, leadership development, digital innovation, and intercultural learning. Participants explored waste management, zero-waste approaches, and environmental activism through workshops focused on World Cleanup Day and Digital Cleanup Day, learning how to organize physical cleanups, reduce digital pollution, reduce CO2 emissions with digital clean up and plan community-level environmental initiatives.
