The Fact & Act: Youth for Democracy project aims to empower young people by enhancing their media literacy, critical thinking, and participation in democratic life. Through interactive simulations of the European Parliament, policy debates, and advocacy actions, participants will gain direct experience in how EU policies are shaped and how they can influence decision-making. The objectives are: Combat disinformation affecting democratic engagement by equipping young people with media literacy skills and critical thinking tools Strengthen European identity and democratic participation by fostering understanding of the EP’s role in shaping European policies and how young people can influence decisions at both national and European levels. Train young leaders in European leadership, political negotiation, policy research, and public advocacy Simulate European Parliament processes to provide participants with hands-on experience in debating policies Develop concrete policy recommendations
