The project aimed to empower Deaf young people to engage in climate activism by providing accessible, sign language-based education on climate change and sustainability. It addressed the structural exclusion of Deaf youth from environmental information and activism spaces due to linguistic and communication barriers. The main objectives were to increase participants’ knowledge of climate change and its impact on Deaf communities, to develop practical skills for sustainable living and activism, and to strengthen their confidence and ability to take action as active citizens. The project also aimed to foster international cooperation between Deaf youth organisations and contribute to a more inclusive climate movement.
