Objectives

This project aims to enhance the quality and innovation of youth work by equipping youth workers with an inclusive, non-formal methodology—drum circle facilitation—that can bring young people together regardless of cultural, social, or linguistic background. Through hands-on training and experiential learning, we seek to strengthen youth workers’ capacity to engage and empower diverse groups, particularly those facing social or cultural barriers. By introducing the concepts teaching without teaching, creating small successes and more participants will discover how to inspire creativity, collaboration, and a sense of belonging among young people. Ultimately, our objectives include: Developing practical skills in group facilitation, body language, and non-verbal communication to foster unity. Promoting inclusion by providing youth workers with a tested tool (drum circles) that can transcend language and cultural barriers. Encouraging intercultural dialogue among youth workers, leading to more nuanced and empathetic approaches to supporting vulnerable youth groups. Learning how to make the "bridge" from an activity, in this case drumcircles, to the general topics of inclusion, diversity, creating safe spaces and more. Strengthening professional development in youth work by spreading innovative, wellness-oriented practices that reduce stress, nurture self-expression, and improve mental health outcomes among participants and the young people they serve.
