The main aim of the project was to increase the participation of people with disabilities in non-formal education and to strengthen their social, digital and civic competences. The Foundation sought to boost participants’ self-confidence, combat social exclusion and develop skills related to the safe use of new technologies. Another key objective was to foster European awareness and provide participants with opportunities to take part in transnational mobility.
The Foundation works to promote the social and professional integration of people with disabilities, particularly adults who have undergone lower limb amputations. Trainers working on behalf of the foundation provide career guidance, as well as socio-therapeutic and educational activities. The project expanded local activities to include a transnational education – it enabled 28 participants who had undergone amputation to take part in transnational mobility (social inclusion through education).
