The aim of the project is to increase the activity of seniors by engaging them in educational and social activities, developing ecological awareness and improving communication and social skills. We want the students of our University of the Third Age to gain new knowledge about organic farming and upcycling, and also develop teamwork skills. We want this to result in their greater integration and activity in the life of the UTA and the local community in the future.
As the University of the Third Age (UTA) at the John Paul II University in Biala Podlaska, we support the activation of seniors, but we encounter challenges related to low social involvement, lack of access to ecological education and limited communication skills. We intend to develop, reach further beyond our region and the environment in which we live. We also want to show seniors the world outside our city, a different perspective and new opportunities that they can use.
