The project "Click on Activity and Safety" addresses key challenges facing contemporary society, arising from digital transformation, an aging population, and the need to strengthen civic engagement. Its main goal is to enhance the digital and civic competencies of young people by fostering intergenerational dialogue with seniors who, in partner countries such as Poland, Italy, and Croatia, often struggle to adapt to the digital world. Modern technological challenges affect both young and older generations, but it is the youth who lead the way in navigating new technologies. This project will empower young people to share their knowledge with seniors, fostering positive social change. It will create a platform for intergenerational dialogue, benefiting both groups. While today’s youth are eager to learn from the wisdom and experience of older generations, the fast pace of life and shifting social dynamics often limit such opportunities. This initiative will facilitate a meaningful exchange of knowledge, skills, and experiences, drawing attention to the risks of digital threats and the consequences of online misconduct. The project seeks to address these challenges and achieve several key objectives: Developing civic and social competencies among young people: The project aims to support young participants in acquiring the skills necessary for active participation in social and civic life. Through workshops on civic engagement, democracy, and intergenerational collaboration, participants will learn how to initiate and implement social initiatives. Working with seniors will help them understand the challenges faced by older generations while fostering empathy, tolerance, and solidarity. Raising awareness of the social challenges of digital transformation: The project will also focus on highlighting issues arising from technological advancements, such as misinformation and online fraud. Intergenerational collaboration will help build bridges between younger and older generations, emphasizing values like solidarity, mutual respect, and cooperation. Through joint activities, participants will exchange experiences with seniors, acquire new skills, and develop greater understanding. Seniors will share their stories, reflections, and experiences in civic engagement and the challenges they face with digitalization. Meanwhile, young people will demonstrate the opportunities digital tools provide. This exchange of knowledge and perspectives will enrich both groups while promoting integration and collaboration. Strengthening digital competencies and awareness of online safety: During the project, young people will enhance their technical skills by learning to create digital content such as educational videos, a digital guide, and promotional materials. Workshops on online safety, data protection, and identifying misinformation will provide practical knowledge on how to protect themselves and others from online threats. At the same time, young participants will share their knowledge with seniors, helping them navigate the digital world more effectively. Enhancing organizational, communication, and artistic skills: The project will provide young people with opportunities to develop a wide range of practical skills. Participants will learn to organize workshops, plan project activities, work in international teams, and manage their time effectively. Creating multimedia materials, such as videos, presentations, and Instagram posts, will allow them to enhance their creativity, artistic abilities, and communication skills. Promoting European values and international cooperation: Collaboration among young people from Poland, Italy, and Croatia will reinforce their sense of belonging to the European community and promote values such as solidarity, cooperation, and mutual respect. The project will enable participants to build intercultural relationships and improve their language skills, contributing to their growth as open-minded and informed European citizens. By participating in the project, young people will develop organizational, technical, communicative, artistic, linguistic, social, and digital skills. Seniors, in turn, will gain support in adapting to the digital world. An educational video promoting intergenerational dialogue and a guide available online for a broad audience will also be created. These materials will serve as tools to promote the project. The project's implementation will contribute to building communities based on cooperation, solidarity, and mutual respect while increasing awareness of the challenges and opportunities in the digital age. Through intergenerational dialogue, participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for active participation in social and civic life, positively influencing their personal and social development.
