The project aims to address the pressing need for improved emotional awareness and stress management skills among young people, particularly in the context of their transition to adulthood. Grounded in the experiences and observations of the project initiators, Wioletta and Corina, who have witnessed firsthand the challenges young individuals face in managing stress and understanding emotions, the project seeks to equip participants with essential tools and competencies to navigate these challenges effectively. AIM of the Project: The overarching goal of the project is to empower 30 young people with skills related to stress management and emotion recognition, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and resilience as they navigate various life transitions and challenges. Objectives of the Project: Emotion Recognition and Expression: By the project's conclusion, all 30 participants will learn how to use a minimum of three tools to identify, recognize, and express their own emotions and those of others effectively. Through structured activities and sessions, participants will gain confidence in expressing their emotions authentically and constructively, thereby fostering healthier interpersonal relationships and self-awareness. Stress Management: By the end of the project, all 30 participants will acquire knowledge of at least four stress reduction techniques and techniques to manage their stress effectively. Through experiential learning activities and guided sessions, participants will develop adaptive coping strategies to deal with stressful situations, ultimately enhancing their resilience and ability to thrive in challenging environments. By this project we want to increase awareness and understanding of mental health hygiene among participants to promote early intervention and prevention of mental health issues and to challenge stigma surrounding mental health through open and honest discussions, sharing personal experiences, and promoting empathy and support. Confidence Building: Through active engagement in project activities over the 10-month duration, 30 participants will cultivate greater confidence in their ability to express emotions authentically and manage stress proactively. The project will provide a supportive and nurturing environment for participants to explore and develop their emotional intelligence and coping skills, fostering a sense of self-assurance and empowerment. Language and Intercultural Learning: Participation in the project will also afford participants the opportunity to enhance their English language communication skills, as English will be the primary language of the youth exchange. Intercultural evenings and exchange activities will promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation, challenging stereotypes and fostering empathy among participants. Follow-up Support: Following the conclusion of the project, participants will receive ongoing support through follow-up meetings, during which they can share their experiences applying the skills acquired during the youth exchange. These follow-up sessions will serve as a continuation of the learning process, providing participants with additional guidance and encouragement as they integrate newfound skills into their daily lives. Promoting Inclusion and Equal Opportunities: Ensure equal gender representation among participants and actively reach out to individuals with fewer opportunities. Create a supportive and inclusive environment where all participants feel valued and respected, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances. Provide additional support and resources to participants with fewer opportunities to ensure their full participation and engagement in the project activities. Fostering Intercultural Dialogue and Cooperation: Bring together participants from five different countries to facilitate intercultural exchange and learning. Encourage participants to share their cultural perspectives, experiences, and practices related to stress management and emotional well-being. Promote mutual understanding, tolerance, and cooperation among participants, fostering a sense of belonging and unity within the European community. Emphasizing Non-formal and Informal Learning: Design project activities based on non-formal and informal learning methodologies to engage participants actively in the learning process. Create opportunities for hands-on learning, experiential activities, and reflective discussions to complement formal education and promote holistic personal development. Encourage participants to step out of their comfort zones, explore new ideas, and embrace lifelong learning in the context of stress management and emotional well-being.
