Objectives

Through the implementation of the BizPlanEducators Mobility project, we wanted to strengthen the competences of youth workers, teachers, educators, mentors and representatives of non-governmental organisations in the field of entrepreneurship education, business plan development and the use of startup-based methods in work with young people. The project was implemented as a response to the need to prepare people working with youth in a practical way, so that they could conduct educational activities developing independence, initiative, creativity, strategic thinking and competences needed in the labour market. The main objective of the project was to provide participants with concrete tools that they could use in their daily educational work. We wanted participants to learn how to guide young people through the process of creating a business plan: from identifying a problem or social need, through market and target group analysis, to planning activities, costs, resources, promotion and methods of implementing an idea. We wanted the business plan to be treated not only as an economic document, but also as a practical non-formal education method. The project also aimed to develop participants’ skills in working with young people with fewer opportunities, including young people from rural areas, socially excluded or marginalised backgrounds, and those with limited access to mentors, career guidance or entrepreneurship education. We wanted to equip participants with methods that would later allow them to support young people more effectively in discovering their potential, building self-confidence and planning their professional future. An important objective was also to promote modern educational methods, such as project-based work, design thinking, business simulations, case studies, pitching, brainstorming, work in international teams and the use of digital tools. Through these methods, participants experienced that entrepreneurship can be taught through practice, action and cooperation, not only through theory. The project also had a strong international dimension. We wanted to create a space for the exchange of experience between partner organisations from Poland, Greece, Türkiye, Ireland and Romania. Participants became familiar with different perspectives, working methods and examples of supporting youth entrepreneurship in different countries. As a result, they gained new perspectives and good practices that they could transfer to their own organisations. We also achieved the objective of improving the quality of youth work. Participants were prepared to conduct workshops, mentoring meetings and local educational initiatives related to entrepreneurship. The project enabled them to develop ideas that could be implemented after the mobility. As a result, the project contributed to increasing the capacity of participants and partner organisations, and to promoting entrepreneurship as a tool for activation, social inclusion and the development of young people.
