By implementing the project “Imagination and Creativity in Youth Work” (ICREYOU) we aimed to the quality and impact of youth work by fostering creativity and innovation among youth workers, youth leaders, and young people from the 9 organizations across 9 different countries. As originally submitted in the application phase of the project, this project responded to the increasing challenges faced by youth in a rapidly changing and uncertain world, by equipping them with essential creative and adaptive skills needed for personal development, active participation, and employability. Using the concept of creativity, the project focused both on teaching youth workers how to use creative concepts, ideas and methods for their own self-development, but just as, if not more importantly, it focused on how to use these methods locally, or internationally in youth work. As such, the project pursued the following specific goals To develop and enhance the creativity and imagination skills of the youth workers, enabling them to better respond to complex and unpredictable situations. To explore and use this role of creativity as a key competence in improving the quality, effectiveness, and inclusiveness of youth work practices. To combing the concepts of creativity with key competences such as critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, collaboration, and initiative through said creative processes. To encourage cross-cultural exchange and cooperation among participants from different countries, fostering mutual understanding, sharing of best practices, and collective learning. To contribute to the personal and professional development of participants, while also creating a positive impact on their local communities and organizations, especially in their local work back home. All of the above objectives focused on the one central aim of the project, which was to raise the quality of youth work and youth projects by fostering creativity and innovation among youth workers and young leaders and by doing it develop young people’s creative skills. The project aimed to reach as much reach as possible, which also led to the following The direct involvement of 16 participants with fewer opportunities Creation of an entire website, covering the entire implementation acting as a how to, with contact links to all organizations, follow-up event reports, professionally edited videos, images, how-tos for participant created workshops and more
