The project’s objectives are: to promote the social inclusion of older learners through transnational exchange experiences that allow them to increase their knowledge about the EU and common European values; train staff to acquire new non-formal learning methodologies in digital, emotional and health literacy, creating an organizational culture that reflects common European values and the European dimension of education.
Centro Social de Soutelo currently faces several challenges in the non-formal education of the elderly: new learning needs identified by learners, namely in terms of digital literacy, emotional literacy and health literacy, need for empowerment, low knowledge about new forms of civic participation and the European dimension of society, as well as the functioning of the European Union. Staff need training to respond to these needs.
