Objectives

This project consisted of organizing a Youth Exchange (YE) and a Youth Worker Mobility (TC), focusing on entrepreneurship and social photography and environmental sustainability, respectively. Both contributed to the Accreditation’s objectives: climate change (waste reduction, waste management, and conscious consumption), social inclusion, and raising awareness of the importance of the social sector (economic, cultural, political, and social), with heavy reliance on the arts and non-formal education. Each mobility program was designed with specific, targeted objectives: Lens For Change: Framing Stories, Sparking Innovation (YE): This project combined two highly relevant and interrelated themes: social entrepreneurship and social photography. Social entrepreneurship combines the mission of addressing and providing solutions to social, environmental, and/or cultural problems with sustainable business strategies, prioritizing a positive impact on society and/or the environment. Social photography, in turn, seeks to portray social reality, inequalities, people’s living conditions, and the cultural, political, and economic contexts of a society. The main objective is to document, raise awareness, and provoke reflection on social issues, often with a focus on exposing injustices, fostering empathy, or driving change. General Objective: To empower a diverse group of participants to explore social entrepreneurship through the use of social photography, which serves as a vehicle for raising societal awareness about specific issues and realities. Specific Objectives: - To cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among young people, fostering their ability to assess risk, innovate, and solve problems proactively; - To train participants in visual storytelling, enabling them to use photography not only as an aesthetic medium but also as a critical tool for social awareness and civic advocacy; - To encourage participants’ active engagement in their communities and in Europe through critical analysis of social, structural, and cultural needs, among others; - Promote intercultural dialogue and interaction by providing a safe and inclusive space for all participants; - Disseminate results and best practices to encourage replication in other contexts. Green Poets Society: A Holistic Approach to Sustainability (TC) With growing international concern over climate change and its increasing impacts on ecosystems, economies, and societies, sustainability has become imperative for human survival and prosperity. In order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), defined in the UN’s 2030 Agenda and adopted by Europe—among which we highlight: SDG 4 Quality Education; SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities; SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; and SDG 13: Climate Action—it is crucial to empower young people to lead more sustainable and environmentally conscious lives. General Objective: To promote the professional development of youth workers and educators, empowering them with a holistic view of sustainability and equipping them with techniques and strategies they can implement in their own lives and communities and pass on to future generations. Specific Objectives: - Equip participants with a comprehensive, holistic understanding of environmental sustainability, the climate crisis, and human and environmental ecosystems; - Provide practical and transferable non-formal education methodologies—such as upcycling—that can be integrated into their daily lives and work; - Develop participants’ professional confidence and pedagogical skills, transforming them into “agents of ecological change” capable of designing ecological initiatives within their home organizations; - Promote international exchange and the co-creation of high-quality open-source educational resources to be disseminated throughout Europe; - Create capacity-building opportunities, promoting an impact on TJs’ work with young people; - Promote environmental awareness and personal responsibility; - Promote intercultural dialogue and interaction by providing a safe and inclusive space for all participants; - Disseminate results and best practices to encourage replication in other contexts.
