The EUth Power project arises from the need to sustain youth civic engagement beyond election periods, consolidating interest and active participation in European Union (EU) affairs. After elections, it is crucial to ensure that young people not only understand the EU’s impact on their lives but also feel empowered to shape their future and Europe’s. This project will be implemented in Portugal, Hungary, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Bulgaria, promoting civic awareness, European identity, and youth participation. The project addresses challenges such as a lack of knowledge about EU opportunities and policies, low youth engagement in democratic processes, and the need to strengthen European identity. Many young people are unaware of programs like Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps, and other initiatives that directly affect their lives. Additionally, social, economic, and geographical barriers hinder civic participation, exacerbating youth unemployment and reducing political involvement. EUth Power aims to empower young people to take an active role in building a more inclusive and participatory Europe. The project’s key objectives include strengthening civic engagement, ensuring young people remain active beyond elections by providing ongoing opportunities for participation and reinforcing their sense of civic responsibility. Raising awareness of the EU and its programs through debates, workshops, and campaigns that stimulate knowledge and critical reflection. Empowering young people by providing tools and platforms that encourage action and access to educational, professional, and mobility opportunities. Enhancing European identity by fostering intercultural dialogue and transnational cooperation to create a sense of unity and belonging. To achieve these objectives, the project will implement post-election educational programs focused on specific EU topics discussed during the electoral process. These programs will provide detailed information and encourage young people to explore these topics further, promoting critical thinking. In addition, interactive workshops and thematic debates will be organized, allowing young people to discuss EU issues, develop argumentation and critical analysis skills, and exchange perspectives with participants from different countries. Ongoing awareness campaigns will be promoted using digital media, social communication, and community events to keep young people informed and engaged in shaping Europe's future. Participants will create content for these campaigns, reinforcing their commitment and leadership in the project. Another key component will be the creation of an online platform, serving as a space for dialogue, collaboration, and resource sharing. This platform will keep young people engaged even after the project ends, facilitating the exchange of experiences, dissemination of best practices, and organization of future civic initiatives. The project will also encourage the implementation of community action projects, where young people can apply their newly acquired knowledge to concrete initiatives that impact their local communities. These projects will enable participants to develop practical skills, strengthen local networks, and build confidence in civic participation. To ensure the project’s results are widely disseminated, young participants will be involved in producing and sharing testimonials, articles, and videos, published on social media, institutional websites, and local and international events. Each national team will be responsible for drafting and promoting content about the exchange, highlighting key learnings and impacts. Additionally, participants will take an active role in organizing public events and presentations in schools, universities, and youth associations, fostering a multiplier effect and encouraging other young people to engage in European initiatives. Collaboration with local and national media will be promoted, ensuring the project's messages reach a broader audience. Translation of project materials will be carried out by the participants themselves, making information accessible to different audiences while enhancing their language skills. The project’s outcomes will also be shared in cultural and educational spaces such as libraries and youth centers, expanding the reach of the initiatives developed. Ultimately, EUth Power seeks not only to maintain but also to strengthen young people’s involvement in European politics, empowering them to become active citizens aware of their role in shaping a more democratic and sustainable Europe. Through non-formal education methodologies, interactive debates, awareness campaigns, and community actions, we will ensure that young people feel truly integrated into the European project. The impact of EUth Power will be measured not only by the number of young people involved but also by the transformation of mindsets and the increase in active participation in European.
