Our "Waves of Exchange" project aims to achieve multiple objectives centered around environmental awareness, youth empowerment, and active citizenship within the framework of youth work. The key goals are as follows: 1.Enhancing Environmental Awareness and Sustainability Practices: Our project seeks to address the growing gap between young people’s awareness of environmental issues and their active participation in sustainability efforts. By engaging youth in hands-on environmental activities like eco-volunteering, nature-based learning, and water sports, the project aims to foster a deeper connection with nature and instill eco-friendly habits. 2.Empowering Youth as Active Citizens: A core objective is to encourage young participants to take an active role in their communities as agents of change. Through workshops, environmental campaigns, and intercultural exchange activities, our project will develop leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, empowering youth to advocate for sustainability in their local environments. 3.Promoting Inclusion and Social Cohesion: Our project is committed to involving young people facing geographical, economic, and social barriers. By creating inclusive spaces for learning and cultural exchange, the project aims to strengthen mutual understanding, tolerance, and solidarity among participants from diverse backgrounds. 4.Developing Digital and Green Competencies: Recognizing the role of digital tools in modern activism, the project incorporates training in digital storytelling, social media campaigning, and eco-activism. This not only enhances digital literacy but also equips youth with the skills to promote environmental issues effectively. 5.Fostering Intercultural Dialogue and European Identity: By bringing together participants from Turkey, Portugal, Italy, and Sweden, the project fosters intercultural dialogue, cultural appreciation, and the development of a shared European identity rooted in the values of sustainability and social responsibility. 6.Supporting Personal Growth and Lifelong Learning: Our project emphasizes non-formal and informal learning methods, including experiential learning, peer-to-peer education, and reflection activities. Participants will gain valuable life skills, such as teamwork, communication, resilience, and adaptability, contributing to their personal and professional development. Through these objectives, the "Waves of Exchange" project aims to create a ripple effect, inspiring not only the direct participants but also their communities and broader networks to engage in environmental action and civic participation.
