With this project, we aimed to create opportunities for young people to develop, through the arts, social, cultural, and personal skills that would contribute to their inclusion and active participation in society. The central idea was to combine artistic creativity with social intervention, allowing each participant to express themselves and explore different forms of communication, while gaining greater awareness of the barriers that hinder the integration of many young people. This project also aimed to empower young people and enable them to become active, critical, and creative citizens, able to face contemporary challenges related to political instability, the growth of extremist discourse, and social polarization. Thus, our objectives were: - To empower young people to understand and value democratic principles, encouraging them to actively engage in participatory processes and decision-making in their communities. - To promote critical thinking, media literacy, and artistic skills, encouraging participants to question information, identify fake news, and use creativity to build narratives that reflect reality and propose innovative solutions. - To foster respect for diversity and intercultural integration by creating a non-formal learning environment where young people from different backgrounds can feel valued and recognized, and, through the exchange of experiences, build a collaborative and enriching learning environment. - To develop intercultural and creative skills through artistic workshops, reinforcing the capacity for collaboration and dialogue among participants from various backgrounds, stimulating empathy, cooperation, and respect for diversity. - To encourage the use of art as a means of social intervention, encouraging young people to take a stand against injustices and to be agents of change, positively influencing their communities and replicating good practices. - To promote youth empowerment by enabling young people to be agents of change in their communities, encouraging them to plan and implement follow-up activities, such as cultural events or awareness-raising actions, that replicate the learning from the exchange. - To strengthen cohesion and the European spirit by bringing together organizations and young people from different countries, reinforcing the sense of European belonging, the sharing of good practices, and the consolidation of support and cooperation networks in working with young people. In short, we wanted participants not only to develop artistic and creative skills, but also to strengthen their self-esteem, critical awareness, and sense of solidarity, thus acquiring practical tools that promote social inclusion and positive transformation, multiplying the impact of the project among other young people and local communities.
