We aim to weave a tapestry of connection, resilience, and regeneration, transforming youth work practice into a vibrant force for change. This is not just a training—it is an invitation to step into a story where the land speaks, communities thrive, and youth workers become stewards of a future rooted in care. 1. EQUIPPING YOUTH WORKERS WITH REGENERATIVE SKILLS Objective (O): Train youth workers in syntropic farming, permaculture, agroforestry, and water retention landscapes to develop regenerative land-based solutions. Youth Work Perspective (YW): Youth workers will become alchemists of the soil, learning to listen to the whispers of the land and translate them into thriving ecosystems. They will guide young people in co-creating with nature, turning barren spaces into lush food forests and healing wounded earth. -> Youth workers will carry the tools to design and implement regenerative projects, empowering young people to become earth healers and climate guardians. 2. PREPARING YOUTH WORKERS TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS O: Provide youth workers with practical skills and tools to integrate sustainability into education, career coaching, and youth initiatives. YW: Youth workers will become dream-weavers, helping young people spin their aspirations into tangible, nature-based careers. They will mentor the next generation of regenerative farmers, ecological entrepreneurs, and sustainability leaders. ->: Youth workers will light the path for young people to build livelihoods that nourish both people and the planet, transforming work into a sacred act of care. 3. STRENGTHENING LOCAL ECONOMIES AND ADDRESSING RURAL DEPOPULATION O: Train youth workers to promote cooperative economies, ecological entrepreneurship, and regenerative livelihoods in rural areas. YW: Youth workers will become architects of vibrant rural communities, where young people are drawn to the land not out of necessity, but out of love and possibility. They will help weave networks of cooperation and creativity, turning forgotten villages into hubs of regeneration. ->: Youth workers will breathe life back into rural areas, creating spaces where young people can root themselves in the land and flourish. 4. ENSURING EQUAL ACCESS TO SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION O: Ensure that youth workers learn to create inclusive sustainability programs, integrating Indigenous knowledge, participatory decision-making, and commons-based governance. YW: Youth workers will become bridge-builders, creating pathways for marginalized youth to step into their power as leaders of regeneration. They will honor diverse voices and wisdom, weaving a tapestry of inclusion and belonging. ->: Youth workers will ensure that no one is left behind in the movement for sustainability, fostering a world where everyone has a seat at the table. 5. STRENGTHENING ECOLOGICAL LITERACY AND REBUILDING CONNECTION WITH NATURE O: Help youth workers develop new approaches to land-based education, shifting the perspective of nature from a resource to a teacher. YW: Youth workers will become storytellers of the Earth, helping young people see the world not as a machine to be fixed, but as a living, breathing being to be cherished. They will design experiences that awaken wonder, curiosity, and a deep sense of kinship with the more-than-human world. ->: Youth workers will inspire young people to fall in love with the land, fostering a generation of earth-lovers who live in harmony with nature. 6. EXPANDING KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE AND INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION O: Facilitate cooperation between youth workers from Portugal, Spain, and the Netherlands, fostering cross-border partnerships, resource sharing, and joint sustainability initiatives. YW: Youth workers will become weavers of a global tapestry, connecting threads of knowledge, inspiration, and action across borders. They will build bridges between cultures, creating a shared language of regeneration. -> : Youth workers will be part of an international movement, amplifying their impact and contributing to a world where collaboration is the heartbeat of sustainability. Youth workers will integrate relational practices, Indigenous wisdom, and ecological science, creating immersive experiences where young people reconnect with nature and their place within it. By combining practical skills with ecological and emotional literacy, they will nurture resilience, creativity, and belonging, ensuring youth work fosters both people and place. This project advances sustainability, environmental awareness, and active citizenship through hands-on, place-based education. Youth workers will equip young people to become stewards of a thriving world, aligning their work with natural cycles and global sustainability efforts, empowering the next generation to walk gently on the Earth while standing boldly for change.
