Through this project, we want to help tackle the growing disconnection between young people and nature, and to offer nature-based alternatives for modern free time activities, which overwhelmingly take place indoors and in virtual spaces. This project aims to support young people to develop the competences necessary to (re-)connect with nature, to develop ecological literacy, and to preserve nature and cultural heritage. We defined 4 SMART objectives for this YE: 1. Increase participants' understanding of spontaneous flora, fungi and their importance for the ecosystem and social communities through 4 interactive learning activities. 2. Help develop participants’ skills for safe and sustainable harvesting & foraging techniques and help them learn rural crafts through practical workshops. 3. Providing participants with skills and know-how for guided outdoor exploration in nature, as a form of sustainable, healthy and meaningful leisure time, within 4 outdoor sessions. 4. Creating at least 10 dissemination informative videos on spontaneous flora, mushrooms, and rural traditions from our countries and disseminating them on our organisations' social media and other channels (websites, newsletters), reaching at least 5.000 people with them in the first 6 months after publishing.
