Objectives

The main reason for implementing this project is to respond to the needs identified at the level of youth workers, our organizations, and the community. Anxiety problems among young people have increased in frequency and intensity in recent years, and youth workers face difficulties in managing these situations, which affects the quality of interactions and the impact of the activities carried out. At the organizational level, existing programs are not sufficiently adapted to the emotional needs of young people, and the lack of adequate training of youth workers, especially new ones, generates fear of failure and reluctance to assume responsibilities. This, combined with limited access to international learning contexts, affects the ability of organizations to identify and implement innovative solutions for young people. At the level of youth workers, several needs were highlighted: lack of knowledge of effective techniques for addressing anxiety problems, limited access to international good practices, and low awareness of the importance of mental health. Prejudices, stereotypes, lack of practical opportunities, and a support network between workers cause these issues. At the community level, the lack of access of young people to relevant and inclusive activities and the absence of projects that promote mental health and tolerance contribute to the decrease of social cohesion and trust in youth organizations. To meet these needs, the project proposes the following objectives: 1. Experiential learning of at least 3 effective techniques for managing anxiety problems of young people by the 24 participating youth workers, during the 12 months of the project. The aim is for the participating youth workers to learn at least three effective techniques for managing anxiety problems of young people. This objective will be measured by the participation of 24 workers in the mobility, evaluations through feedback forms, and the completion of reflection diaries. We will also create a brochure with at least 7 techniques for youth workers. 2. Creation of at least 4 support contexts and exchange of international good practices for working with young people with anxiety problems, for 24 youth workers, during the 5 days of the mobility. We will organize at least four support contexts for the exchange of experiences and good practices, ensuring that workers actively participate and improve their skills through collaboration. The activities will be constantly adapted to the needs of young people with emotional difficulties, and their efficiency will be evaluated through feedback and observation. 3. Increase by 20% the awareness of the 24 participating youth workers of the importance of mental health in the design of activities for young people, during the 5 days of the mobility. Through the training sessions, we aim for youth workers to be aware of the importance of including mental health in the design of activities for young people. We will evaluate the impact through initial and final evaluation questionnaires, as well as through positive feedback from participants and the young people involved. These objectives will contribute to improving the quality of work with young people and increasing the impact of the activities carried out by partner organizations, thus supporting the personal, social, and professional development of young people.
