Objectives

EN: Through the implementation of the project "Connection for New Action" we aimed to focus on activities that would offer a new chance to young drug users, to reintegrate among young people of their age, to have an alternative to a meaningless life and a greater desire to get involved in community life, through the use of three non-formal education methods: Labyrinth Theatre, Social Atom and the ESPERE method. The project was implemented between 16 June 2025 and 15 January 2026, with the youth worker mobility taking place from 1 September to 10 September 2025. The direct beneficiaries of this project were 36 youth workers from five organisations: Spain, Turkey, Serbia and two from Romania, over a period of seven months. The objectives of this training were: 1. Increasing the training level for 36 youth workers over 10 days through the use of three non-formal education methods (Labyrinth Theatre, ESPERE and Social Atom, also used as social inclusion methods for young people with fewer opportunities), in the prevention and combating of psychoactive substance use among young people and adolescents in the communities of the six participating organisations. 2. Developing digital skills by creating a networking platform through which the 36 youth workers from the six participating organisations can transmit the acquired methods to vulnerable young people prone to drug use in their communities. 3. Creating and developing teamwork skills on the topic of preventing psychoactive substance use, for the 36 youth workers over 10 days, in an international context. Following this training, the direct beneficiaries were the 36 youth workers, prepared to work with young people prone to consumption or who are users of psychoactive substances, and the indirect beneficiaries of the project were these young people, whom we supported emotionally by involving them in volunteering activities, thus stimulating their creativity and spontaneity and helping them to evolve.
