Objectives

The "Green Inclusion – New Perspectives for the Youth Work Field" project aims to equip youth workers with the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to integrate climate justice into their work while ensuring the active participation of young people with fewer opportunities (YPWFO) in environmental and community-building initiatives. From a youth work practice perspective, the project has three main objectives: Strengthening the capacity of youth workers – Through an international training and collaborative learning process, 30 youth workers from 7 countries will gain inclusive and sustainable methodologies to engage young people in climate justice actions. This will enhance their ability to make environmental initiatives accessible and relevant to marginalized youth. Developing and implementing the Inclusive & Sustainable Engagement Instrument – This tool will help youth organizations assess and improve their capacity to effectively involve YPWFO in climate-related activities and community-building efforts. By integrating this instrument, youth workers and organizations will have a practical resource to ensure sustainable, inclusive participation in environmental initiatives. Raising awareness and fostering action on climate justice – The project will directly engage at least 1,400 individuals across 7 countries in educational activities, advocacy efforts, and green inclusive practices within youth work. This will create a ripple effect, encouraging a broader movement toward sustainability and inclusivity in youth-led initiatives. By implementing these actions, the project aims to bridge the gap between social inclusion and climate justice in youth work, ensuring that young people, regardless of their background, can contribute meaningfully to environmental solutions.
