The Hands-on for Mental Health (HFMH) project empowers young people in Romania to engage in mental health advocacy and policy improvements by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and direct access to decision-makers. The project will: 1. Train 30 young people in policy analysis to assess and improve mental health services (first six months). 2. Host 8 events for 300 youth to discuss mental health reform (within 12 months). 3. Develop a youth-led policy proposal with 30 advocates, drafting five recommendations (by Month 18). 4. Train 50 young people in advocacy and leadership skills (by Month 15). 5. Organize 5 advocacy events where youth present proposals to policymakers (Month 12–24). By empowering youth as advocates, HFMH will create lasting change in mental health policy and participation in Romania.
