Objectives

There are moments in a young person’s life that can change everything. A missed opportunity, a door that doesn’t open, a voice that tells them they are not good enough, not strong enough, not ready enough. For some young people, these moments are not exceptions but part of their daily reality. We designed this project to be an open door—a place where bullying does not dictate a child's future, where a past marked by addiction is not a life sentence, where being labeled as an "immigrant" does not mean being "excluded." “Next Stop: Europe!” is more than an educational project—it is a statement of trust in the future of these young people. Through this initiative, we want to show them that they deserve to be seen, heard, and supported. We want to offer them an experience that will prove the world is larger than the problems weighing them down, and that they are more than the struggles they have endured. Project Objectives Our objectives are clearly defined, but the impact we seek goes beyond statistics and indicators. We aim to shift perspectives, open horizons, and equip young people with real tools for their future. 1. Changing perceptions of bullying and creating a safer environment for young people Bullying is not just a behavioral issue; it is a wound that lingers, damaging self-confidence and making young people believe they are not enough. Through this project, we want to provide new perspectives, inclusion models, and concrete strategies for combating this issue. By the end of the project, participants will confidently say they have learned how to claim their space, how to react, and how to shift the dynamics in their social interactions. 2. Providing healthy alternatives for youth vulnerable to addiction For too many young people, addiction becomes an escape due to a lack of alternatives. By exposing them to positive experiences, new environments, and interactions that show them there are other paths, we aim to change how they see their lives and their choices. Success will be measured by how many participants start to actively engage in their communities and seek a purpose beyond self-destructive temptations. 3. Facilitating social integration for immigrant students One of the most painful experiences for an adolescent is to feel invisible, excluded, or unaccepted. Immigrant students live this reality every day. In this project, they will not just be participants—they will be active partners, involved in every stage, from planning to implementation and dissemination. They will have the opportunity to share their stories, present their culture, and discover that Europe belongs to them as well. 4. Encouraging civic engagement and a sense of responsibility toward the community Many young people feel disconnected from society, indifferent to politics, and detached from community life. By introducing them to European institutions, volunteer centers, and civically active young people from other countries, we want to show them what it means to be an engaged and responsible citizen. 5. Creating an experience that changes lives Perhaps the most significant goal of this project is to offer a real shift in perspective. We don’t want this to be just another trip, just another Erasmus+ experience to be checked off a list. We want it to be a turning point in their lives, an experience that makes them say: "If I managed to do this, I can achieve anything." Project Methodology To achieve our goals, we will not rely solely on traditional educational methods. Instead, we will use experiential learning, work with psychologists, integrate reflection activities, and create a strong support network among participants. The project is structured into three educational trips, each including common elements—visits to European institutions, volunteer centers, and international high schools—while also offering a unique experience for each group with an additional city included in their itinerary: Budapest – Vienna Budapest – Bratislava – Prague Budapest – Belgrade Why Does This Project Matter? This project matters because these young people matter. Sometimes, all it takes is a single moment, a single meeting, a single experience to show someone that the world is bigger than they thought. We believe these young people have potential. We believe they can succeed, they can learn, they can be part of a Europe that accepts and supports them. All they need is the chance to see this for themselves. “Next Stop: Europe!” is not just about travel, institutions, or educational activities. It is about placing in the hands of young people who have felt excluded the key to a new world, to a future they can build themselves—with confidence and hope. This is our mission. This is their chance. This is the moment when, for many of them, everything changes.
