By implementing the Green Trackers project, we aim to provide 20 young people with fewer opportunities from the counties of Tulcea, Botoșani, Dâmbovița, and Bihor with a transformative learning experience. This experience will support their personal, social, and professional development through international mobility, ecological education, and intercultural exploration. From the perspective of youth work, the project seeks to equip participants with the tools and experiences needed to become active citizens, aware of their impact on the environment, and capable of initiating change within their communities. Project Objectives: -Raising ecological awareness and fostering youth initiative in sustainability Through interactive workshops and visits to European cities recognized for their environmental policies, we aim to deepen the 20 participants' understanding of environmental challenges and support them in identifying solutions applicable to their local communities. Progress will be measured through pre- and post-project evaluations and by actively involving young people in ecological initiatives. -Developing sustainability skills and community initiative capacity Within six months after the mobility activities, each participant will implement a small-scale local ecological project inspired by best practices observed during their travels—whether it be recycling campaigns, urban gardening projects, or other environmental protection initiatives. This stage will be supported through mentorship sessions and by connecting young people with networks of organizations active in the field of sustainability. -Enhancing intercultural and social skills through international mobility Participants will interact with young people from diverse cultures and social backgrounds, thus developing their communication skills, empathy, and intercultural awareness. In addition to the travel experience itself, this objective will be reinforced through reflection sessions and experience-sharing activities. We aim to help young people improve their ability to navigate multicultural contexts and become more confident in finding and seizing opportunities for international mobility and learning. Through these objectives, Green Trackers directly contributes to the development of young people as change-makers within their communities, promoting ecological education, international mobility, and active participation in society.
