This project is created by youth for youth. We aim to empower queer youth from Southeast Europe and increase the presence of young people in rural areas of this region by equipping them with practical tools for sustainable homestead creation, community building, and inclusivity advocacy. Its goal is to promote villages of diverse communities that regenerate their natural and social environments through their way of existence, shaping a new, more inclusive societal culture. The project aims to address key challenges faced by young people, particularly those from the queer community and rural areas, in the fields of inclusion, sustainability, and community revitalization. Main objectives of the project : Empowering and Connecting Youth - Through the development of practical skills, such as permaculture, natural building, and sociocracy, the project will enable young people to build sustainable and inclusive communities. Additionally, it will create a safe space for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and fostering future partnerships and initiatives. Revitalizing Rural Communities - Supporting the local community of Pleme i Seme in their sustainable development and sharing their experiences with a broader audience to inspire similar initiatives across the Balkans and Southeast Europe. Promoting Inclusivity - The project seeks to empower marginalized groups, particularly queer communities and youth from rural areas, to actively participate in sustainable initiatives. The focus is on diversity as a foundation for healthier and fairer societies. These objectives will be achieved within youth work through: Using non-formal education methods that enable learning through practical experience. Group activities, workshops, and reflective sessions that enhance leadership skills and empower young people to take initiative in their communities. Promoting active youth participation in decision-making and the creation of inclusive communities, fostering social cohesion and integration.
