Young people, students and NGO members often recognize the SDG framework, while many others know key issues like climate action but don’t link them to the SDGs. Often SDG education is very limited and youth may be unaware of the goals or how they relate to their everyday lives - creating a gap between young people and the SDGs. This project proposal seeks to address this gap by making the SDGs more understandable and engaging through SDG-themed comics. Comics have the power to help young people understand global challenges addressed by the SDGs. With their visual storytelling and fun format, they make complex issues simple and inspire action. By turning SDGs into relatable stories, comics encourage youth to take action for a better, fairer world. The main objectives of the project are: -Raising Awareness: Using comics as a tool for simplifying the framework of SDGs, making it accessible and engaging for young people. -Encouraging Youth Participation: Involving young people in the creative process of making comics about the SDGs. -Developing essential skills: fostering critical thinking, enhancing creativity, and communication through engaging activities and comic creation. -Exploring Comics as an educational and advocacy tool: Demonstrate how comics can deliver powerful messages and engage people in meaningful ways. -Improving Digital Skills: Enhance participants' digital skills through the use of digital tools and platforms in the comic creation process. -Promoting Erasmus+ Programme: Showcase Erasmus+ as a valuable resource for engaging with the SDGs and supporting youth development. This project proposal is a perfect example of how important topics like the SDGs can be explored in an engaging and impactful way, combining creativity as a learning tool with the experience of a multicultural exchange, where young people can share realities, perspectives, and ideas while working together toward a common goal.
