Club for Youth Empowerment 018 would like to implement the DemocracyLab project in several local communities in Serbia with the support of local partners Link Sombor, Društvo Roma Prokuplje, Bum Bečej, Connecting Pančevo. The 15-month Youth Participation initiative that will take place across 5 cities in Serbia, including Prokuplje, Pančevo, Bečaj, Sombor, and Niš, bringing together 100 young people from diverse regions in Serbia, both rural and urban places, to become active members of democratic society. Despite democracy being based on the ideas of equal representation and participation, gender inequality remains a major issue, especially in media representation, political participation, and conflict resolution. Democracy Lab will focus on 4 key themes, such as democracy, democracy and feminism, democracy and media, and democracy and conflict resolution, each highlighting a different aspect of the connection between democracy and gender equality.
