In a time when there are many challenges and conflicts in Europe, we young people need to understand that we are more alike than different. By meeting youth from other countries, we want to create an exhibition about our dreams. The exhibition Dreams Across the World, will represent our dreams and thoughts about who we are, while also giving us a chance to talk with other European youth about what it truly means to be a part of Europe – and part of the world. We will learn about each other’s cultures and experiences, which will help us understand one another better. We believe it’s important for us to develop our intercultural skills, as it makes us more open and less judgmental. By collaborating with youth from other countries, we learn to work together despite our differences, and gain an understanding of how we are all part of something bigger. We will learn to take initiative in contacting each other and collaborating digitally. This project also gives us a chance to be creative and express ourselves through art and writing, and to think critically about our views on culture, society, and our own identities. Additionally, the project will give us the chance to create something tangible together – an exhibition that will showcase our learnings and experiences from the exchange. This exhibition will not only reflect our personal development, but also serve as a way to spread awareness about youth exchanges and international collaboration to a broader audience. Then, traveling to the Netherlands and visiting other youth in their homes will make us more confident and engaged with the world around us. It will help us grow both as individuals and as part of a larger European community. By creating something together, we will feel that we can make an impact and help shape the future. This project also helps us realize how much we can achieve when we work together, no matter where we come from. In summary, this project is an opportunity for us to build connections between young people from different parts of Europe, to foster a stronger sense of community and understanding, and to have a chance to truly be heard on issues that affect our future. It’s about creating a more peaceful world and daring to express our dreams artistically – in our own way.
