Objectives

The project aims to promote healthy cooking as an essential part of daily life while addressing key challenges such as poor cooking habits, food waste, and the misconception that healthy cooking is expensive or time-consuming. Through a focus on sustainability and practical skills, participants will gain the knowledge and tools to prepare budget-friendly, seasonal, and sustainable meals. The key objectives of the project are: • Developing a youth-friendly cookbook – The project will create a practical cookbook tailored for young people, featuring recipes suitable for both small and large groups, along with strategies for efficient meal planning and preparation. • Teaching meal-prepping techniques – Participants will learn time-saving cooking strategies that enhance time management, reduce food waste, and encourage mindful meal planning. • Promoting the use of seasonal and regional ingredients – By emphasizing local and seasonal produce, the project will foster sustainability and an appreciation for cultural diversity through shared cooking experiences. • Advancing gender equality in the culinary field – The project will challenge stereotypes and promote inclusive participation in cooking, ensuring that both young men and women feel empowered to engage in culinary activities without gender bias. By integrating these objectives into youth work practice, the project will equip young people with essential life skills, foster a sense of community, and encourage responsible consumption habits.
