We want to learn best practices and gather information on the operation of counseling support at the host school, as well as among organizers, professionals, and counseling staff in VET who work in the field of adult education in Slovenia. We expect to implement improvements in our own practices at individual schools. The experiences will be shared at professional meetings with adult education organizers at VET schools, in the presence of national professional institutions such as CPI and ACS.
The proportion of young adults enrolled in formal proffesional and vocational Education and Training (VET) programmes has been rising in recent years.These adult learners often face social and cultural challenges, special needs and language barriers. Adequate counselling support for them as participants in adult VET is crucial for the successful completion of their education. This is not systematically supported and regulated in Slovenia.
