Objectives

With the project Be the Resistance to Violence, we aimed to raise young people’s awareness of the issue of violence, empower them to resolve conflicts non-violently, and encourage them to take an active role in creating safer, more inclusive, and sustainable communities. The goal was to create environments where young people can openly talk about their experiences, receive support, and develop social, emotional, and ecological competencies. The main objectives of the project were: to empower young people to recognize violence and to strengthen their self-confidence, resilience, and critical thinking, to develop tools for non-violent conflict resolution and a culture of mutual respect, to educate and raise awareness about different forms of violence (physical, psychological, and online), to promote non-violent communication, dialogue, and respectful relationships, to build support networks and strengthen the sense of community, to encourage the active participation of young people as advocates of non-violence and sustainability, to raise awareness of ecological responsibility, sustainable practices, and permaculture approaches, and to develop practical skills for sustainable living. Through participatory youth work methods, the project contributed to the development of a responsible, solidaristic, and sustainability-oriented society.
