We want to enable young participants to get to know other countries and cultures first-hand, to learn about the various common points that unite citizens of different EU member states, and thereby increase their general cultural awareness. Knowledge of the cuisine and art of different nations will help the participants to be aware of the connection between different European cultures, common values and a sense of unity with other EU nations. At the same time, they will learn about elements that are unique to different cultures. With this, we want to increase their intercultural competence and understanding and acceptance of diversity. During the exchanges, the participants will produce a booklet with traditional recipes and a comic about mental health, with which the participants will learn about this topic in an interesting way. By distributing the comic and the cookbook online, we want to spread the effect to all young people in the EU and elsewhere. Participants find connections between culinary practices of different cultures, which often have the same roots, noticing elements that are universal in different European cuisines, which helps to strengthen European identity. Participants learn to search for information on the internet and in literature and improve their general knowledge. Participants improve their knowledge of cultural heritage and contribute to its preservation. They create a comic about mental health. Participants organize a lecture and a workshop about their youth exchange experience in order to promote the results and opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme. They learn illustration and graphic design, they increase their teamwork, intercultural and linguistic competences. Ensuring equal opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities, especially those who are socially disadvantaged and those with a migrant background.
