Objectives

The THINK DIGITAL project aims to equip young people with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the increasingly complex digital landscape. In an era of rapid digitalization, misinformation, and algorithm-driven content, it is crucial for youth to develop the ability to critically analyze digital content, identify biases, and engage responsibly online. The project focuses on fostering digital literacy, enhancing media awareness, and promoting ethical online behaviour among young people, empowering them to become informed digital citizens. Key Objectives Include: 1. Increase the ability of at least 70% of participants to critically analyze online information by the end of the exchange. 2. Equip participants with three key digital literacy tools for evaluating sources and media credibility by the end of the exchange. 3. Develop and publish an online guide with critical thinking strategies for digital consumption by the end of the project. Methodology and Impact: The THINK DIGITAL project embraces a non-formal educational approach, ensuring that learning is experiential, participatory, and tailored to the needs of young people. The project will employ interactive workshops, real-world case studies, gamified learning, and group discussions to actively engage participants in the learning process. Daily reflection sessions and Youthpass certification will allow participants to track their progress and recognize their achievements in key digital competencies. THINK DIGITAL aligns with European priorities such as the EU Digital Education Action Plan and the European Youth Strategy, contributing to the development of young people’s digital skills and promoting media literacy as a key competence in the digital age. The project will engage a diverse group of young participants from Slovakia, Italy, Poland, Spain, Czech Republic, Armenia, and Norway, providing an enriching intercultural exchange that encourages diverse perspectives and promotes European values of inclusivity, respect, and cooperation in the digital sphere. Sustainability and Legacy: To ensure the long-term impact of THINK DIGITAL, the project will produce a comprehensive “THINK DIGITAL - Guidelines to Critical Thinking in the Digital World,” a toolkit that consolidates key learning materials, best practices, and practical tips for responsible online engagement. The toolkit will be disseminated through platforms such as SALTO-YOUTH, the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform, and partner organizations’ websites, ensuring accessibility for youth workers, educators, and policymakers across Europe. THINK DIGITAL aspires to create a generation of informed, responsible, and critical digital citizens who are capable of navigating the online world with confidence and discernment. By achieving its objectives, the project will contribute to building a safer, more inclusive, and digitally literate European youth community.
