Objectives

Environmental issues are more relevant today than ever before. The growing challenges, including global warming, the increasing use of plastic and pollution, the advancement of technology, and the widening disconnect between humans and nature, put the future of our planet at serious risk. Every available resource must be utilized to raise awareness about these issues and mitigate their impact as much as possible. This project presents an opportunity for us to promote the environmental and sustainability values upheld by our organizations, draw attention to these critical topics, and engage young people in this vital work. Our "EarthLink" initiative reflects the shared beliefs and values of our organizations in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development. The project aims to educate 36 young people from 6 countries ( Armenia, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, Georgia, and the Czech Republic) on environmental protection, sustainable development, and the connection between humans and nature. It will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to drive change in their countries and small communities, making them part of a movement against environmental challenges. The Main Objectives of the Project : To inform young people about environmental issues and their significance, presenting both their current and future consequences. To equip young people with the skills and knowledge needed to make their voices heard, participate in decision-making processes, and implement youth-led initiatives. To create a network of young people and organizations interested in environmental issues, ensuring the continuity of the project and the achievement of its objectives. From a youth work perspective, the project serves as an excellent opportunity for team leaders representing different organizations, allowing them to enhance their skills in implementing youth initiatives and strengthening their organizational capacities. For the young participants, this project will provide strong role models in youth work, inspiring them to become actively involved in the field. We hope that after the project, some of the participants will continue their engagement in youth work, further proving the project's success and long-term impact.
