Objectives

The project aims to equip youth workers with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to support young people in navigating the digital world safely and responsibly. By addressing digital well-being, cyber safety, misinformation, online privacy, and mental health challenges linked to social media use, the project will provide practical resources that youth workers can apply in their daily work. One of the main objectives is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers in digital education, ensuring they can effectively guide young people in identifying fake news, preventing cyberbullying, and understanding online privacy risks. The project will also focus on integrating AI-powered tools and non-formal learning methods into youth work, making digital literacy training more engaging and relevant. Another key objective is to promote digital well-being by providing youth workers with strategies to help young people balance screen time, reduce digital stress, and maintain mental well-being in online spaces. This is especially important for vulnerable groups, such as young people facing social, economic, cultural, and geographical barriers, who may be more exposed to digital risks. The project also aims to foster international cooperation among youth organizations by creating a space for learning, exchange of best practices, and collaborative development of educational materials. Through workshops and training sessions, youth workers will gain practical experience and leave the project with ready-to-use workshop materials that can be implemented in their local communities. Ultimately, the project seeks to enhance the role of youth workers in promoting responsible digital behavior, empowering young people to engage with digital tools in a way that supports their personal and professional development while protecting their well-being.
