Objectives

This project aims to strengthen inclusion and improve the quality of youth work within the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) framework by enhancing the skills, knowledge and cooperation of youth workers and organizations. A key focus is on supporting the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities by equipping youth workers with better tools and strategies to provide guidance, mentorship and accessible opportunities in ESC projects. The project will bring together ESC coordinators and youth workers from Slovakia, Austria, Finland, Italy, Spain, Georgia and Estonia. Each organization will send two representatives: one ESC coordinator and one youth worker directly engaged with volunteers. The activities will emphasize inclusive youth work practices, sharing best practices in working with marginalized groups and improving support structures for volunteers facing barriers. Participants will also visit ESC project sites to gain practical insights into fostering inclusion and sustainability in volunteering activities. By strengthening the capacity of youth workers and promoting inclusive methodologies, this project will lead to better-prepared ESC volunteers, more accessible and diverse ESC projects and stronger cooperation between organizations. The outcomes will include the development of new Erasmus+, ESC collaborations, improved mentorship structures and a greater impact on local communities by making solidarity and inclusion central to youth work practices.
