Objectives

Our primary goal in implementing this project was to enable young people to become environmentally conscious, responsible, and active individuals. Thus, we aimed not only to provide theoretical knowledge but also to support their direct participation in the process through applied learning methods. Our project has contributed to young people understanding the increasingly critical environmental problems of today, developing solutions to these problems, and integrating sustainable approaches into their own life practices. One of our primary goals was to increase environmental awareness among young people. By focusing on issues such as pollution, waste management, and the conservation of natural resources, we aimed to ensure that participants gained awareness in these areas. Through the activities carried out within this scope, we contributed to young people's better understanding of environmental problems and the development of solution-oriented thinking skills. Furthermore, strengthening the active participation of young people and their sense of individual responsibility was also among our important goals. During the project, we tried to support participants in recognizing the impact of their own actions on the environment by enabling them to directly participate in various environmentally friendly activities. At the same time, increasing cooperation and solidarity among young people from different countries and cultural backgrounds was one of the important goals of the project. Through collaborative work and group activities, we enabled participants to develop their teamwork skills, recognize different perspectives, and gain an understanding of how to work together to find solutions to global environmental problems. Acquiring sustainable living skills for young people was also among our priorities within the scope of the project. We enabled participants to gain practical experience in areas such as recycling techniques, environmentally friendly production methods, and planning community-based initiatives. The aim was for young people to become individuals who can apply the knowledge and skills they acquire in their own lives and create change in their environment. In addition, spreading environmental awareness through the effective use of digital tools was also among the project's goals. Thus, we contributed to young people becoming individuals who not only learn but also share and multiply what they have learned. Our project also aimed to create a long-term impact on sustainability. The goal was for participants to maintain their environmentally friendly habits after the project, integrate these behaviors into their daily lives, and spread them within their own communities. Accordingly, creating lasting behavioral changes and ensuring the continuity of the project's impact was a key priority. Finally, contributing to the personal development of young people was also among our fundamental goals. Throughout the project, participants were supported in developing skills such as leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-confidence. By encouraging them to take on different tasks and actively participate, they were supported in becoming more conscious, well-equipped, and willing individuals to produce social benefit.
