Objectives

When we examine the current situation in Türkiye and Europe regarding youth well-being, the issue presents both opportunities and challenges that are critical to address. With the present project, we aim to begin with a step to catch up with that unprecedented period of rapid growth and carry out complicated cooperation studies on youth work in line with the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme and specifically the European Innovation Agenda(EIA).EIA outlines priorities for creating an inclusive, sustainable, and innovative Europe, emphasizing empowering youth to contribute actively to societal development. When considering the physical, mental, and social well-being of youth we concentrated on the following areas: -Upskilling and Reskilling: Equip youth with skills in digital health tools, team collaboration platforms, and resilience technologies. -Fostering Ecosystem Collaboration: Work with local organizations, NGOs, and startups specializing in health and well-being innovation. -Emphasis on Sustainability: Link physical and mental health activities to environmental sustainability, emphasizing outdoor activities and eco-conscious living. We want to shed light on youth well-being in terms of challenges requiring innovative responses, enhancing the resilience of young people from diverse backgrounds while fostering inclusivity and preparing them for active participation in democratic life, aligning with the European Union Youth Strategy 2019-2027.Türkiye's Twelfth Development Plan (2024-2028) emphasizes enhancing youth well-being through several key initiatives in the areas of: -Combating Addictions: The plan aims to increase the number of professionals working with young people on addiction issues. -Mental Health Services: The plan targets increasing the quality and quantity of community mental health centers, aiming to provide better support for young individuals facing mental health challenges. -Employment and Social Inclusion: The plan includes improving job opportunities for youth and vulnerable groups. It adopts a holistic strategy to advance youth well-being as a cornerstone of sustainable development. Acknowledging the vital role of young people in driving societal progress, the plan focuses on enhancing access to quality education, mental health resources, and employment opportunities while encouraging active participation in civic life. The plan aims to address inequalities, strengthen social cohesion, and empower youth to succeed in a rapidly changing global environment through inclusive policies and targeted investments. These efforts align with Türkiye's overarching vision of building a resilient, vibrant, and inclusive society where young people can actively contribute to democratic and economic advancements. As a coordinator organization, T.C. Mersin Valiliği set up a project partnership structure to foster Türkiye's Twelfth Development Plan's implications for youth. Project Aim: To enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of youth from diverse backgrounds while fostering inclusivity and preparing them for active participation in democratic life, aligning with the European Union Youth Strategy 2019-2027.
